Real Ales
Typically, we offer a choice of three real ales. While we have no resident ales, as such, there are a few that appear on a more regular basis than others purely by dint of popular demand:
Fuller’s London Pride – An ever more popular brew across the length and breadth of the country; Chiswick’s finest is, as far as we can tell, London’s greatest ever contribution to our national culture. Pride is a well-rounded ale with a splendid balance of hops and malt, making it the perfect drink for almost any occasion. |
Black Sheep – When Paul Theakston left his family business after they were taken over by a giant brewing conglomerate; he decided to show that things could still be done the old-fashioned way and opened his own independent brewery down the road. The result is a fine, traditional Yorkshire pint, light but with a surprisingly, complex flavour. |
Timothy Taylor’s Landlord – As the winner of more awards than any other beer in history, this strong pale ale is always a sure-fire winner. Light, golden and endlessly quaffable, Landlord is delightfully hoppy and has a delicately bitter after-taste. |
Deuchar’s IPA – The 2002 Great British Beer Festival Supreme Champion is a gorgeous, golden session beer. Light, bright and supremely refreshing. |
Holden’s Golden Glow – A fragrant Black Country brew with a subtle hoppiness, Golden Glow is always a popular choice. |
