It's official! The Gate is The Bestest Pub in the History of the World Ever!
In recognition of Nigel's massive contribution to Sutton's music scene, several eminent local musicians got together and awarded him with a rather splendid plaque.
The award was presented by The David Moore Band during their particularly excellent set on Sunday afternoon.
That brings The Gate's tally of awards up to three for this year (along with the Tuesday Club Pub of the Year and the Business in the Community award) - proof, were it needed, that there's no better place for live music.
