The Gate plays host to a large and eclectic array of artists, providing something for just about everybody.
Our resident performers include:
The David Moore Band, a progressive blues band that are building a massive following through their regular Sunday afternoon appearances at The Gate.
Carib Blue, featuring Phil Andrews (sax and drums) and prog-rock keyboard legend Norman Haines on Hammond organ. Carib Blue bring us their unique blend of jazz and blues every Thursday night.
Freefall have been a popular act around the town for many years. You can catch them most Wednesdays playing a variety of melodic pop and soft rock.
The Full Act are regular visitors to The Gate with their upbeat collection of covers. Always one to get the feet moving.
Other frequent performers include the utterly magnificent Laszlo’s Diary, top R&B combo People’s Republic of Mercia and a whole host of others.
Tuesday nights are open microphone time, feel free to come along and join in, no matter what style of music you play.
